Site update – everything has moved!

Well, not everything, but a lot of pages have indeed moved to different locations within the site, as we’ve done a grand tidy-up and made the whole site a lot neat (and more stable and maintainable too!)

If you can’t see what you’re looking for, we have a new menu at the bottom of each page.

Are you sure you really want to make all these changes to your website? We absolutely loved it the way it was because 1) you had 14 days of puzzles which was useful since it was just not practical to try to log in every day, 2) you gave a numerical value of difficulty–very useful, and 3) you said what techniques needed to be used to solve the puzzle. I can’t any of these things now. Am I missing something? Hopefully, all of these things are still there somewhere. Are they?

We didn’t manage to reimplement all of these straight away (they required a bit of extra tech to get working again!) but now the archive puzzles are there for you to check on, as well as showing the difficulty rating of each. Each one you click on will show the expected required techniques too, and a step-by-step solution option if that’s what you need!

    Hi,
The archive link in Howard’s reply does not lead to the archive. It links to the menu at the bottom of this page (which does not include an archive link).
The puzzle archive and the step-by-step solutions are really helpful to me in improving my “game” and enjoying the great puzzles you offer.
I hope this can be fixed soon. Really appreciate what you do and what you offer.

O.K. I can see your trying. Big improvement over yesterday. Thank you! Sorry for my harsh comments yesterday but Sudoku Of The Day is important to me and I hate to see it fiddled with.
    Cheers Mick

That’s fine Mick, we hadn’t understood quite how you and other users have been using the site so we missed out some important things when we moved it over to the new server and system!
